Our Land Acknowledgement

We wish to acknowledge this land on which Children’s Day School sits. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Ohlone people of Chichui village. Ohlone people hunted and gathered on this land - taking only what they needed and using all that they took. They believed that everything in nature had a spirit and they gave thanks for what they received. Today, it is still the home to many Ohlone peoples from across the Bay Area and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live, work, learn and play here.

Children's Day School pays a yearly Yunakin Land Tax to the Ramaytush Ohlone. For more information, see https://www.ramaytush.org/donate.html
Children's Day School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  Learn More
