Extended Day Program

Philosophy

The CDS Extended Day Program activities and schedules are designed to achieve a balance of organized activities and supervised free play. Children may choose from a wide variety of age-appropriate activities such as sports and games, study hall, building, art, music, cooking, gardening, community service projects and visits to the nearby Columbia Park Boys & Girls Club.

Hours and Procedure

A variety of schedules are offered to fit each family’s needs. The Extended Program is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m. every day school is in session (except Grandparents & Special Friends Day, the day before Winter Break, and Graduation).

After School Program

The core of the Extended Day Program, our after school program, is offered from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. and includes age-appropriate combinations of academic and recreational activities. Taking full advantage of our protected acre of land, experienced teachers create a dynamic environment that is fun and engaging and provides ample time for play. Please take a look at each program's website for more detailed information about the schedule and activities offered.

Enrichments

Classes meet for one hour a week after school and cost varies, depending on the nature of the class.
