Pacific Singers and Actors Workshop
With once-per-week 60-minute sessions, Pacific Singers & Actors Workshop presents classes in foundational singing technique, acting, and improvisation directly on school campuses. We introduce consistent use of tools and habits to allow students to develop and explore self-expression and creativity. This emphasis on process enables the student to make strong, appropriate, and personal choices in their performances.
By rehearsing the tools and habits presented in class, students have the opportunity to gain confidence, poise, flexibility, self-awareness, use of imagination, the ability to collaborate with others creatively, and the ability to be non-judgmental towards themselves and others.
Pacific Singers & Actors Workshop is a startup nonprofit conceived in 2012 by Curt Branom, Kristin Clayton, and Nicolle Foland as an after school performing arts program for middle and high school students to be presented on San Francisco Bay Area school campuses. As highly-trained professionals, we have a collective 70 years of experience in the worlds of musical theater, acting, opera, and classical music. We were fortunate to receive encouragement to reach our highest potential in the performing arts during our middle and high school years, and we are now in a position to give that same encouragement to those students who may lack exposure to performing arts during the school day.

Physics and Engineering
Return to the middle ages! Build table top trebuchets, catapults, and mini weapons of mass destruction. Engineer castles and walls that can withstand the destructive power of your siege engines. We will be using office supplies, cardboard, and dowels as building materials. Following safety rules is a must.

Zines and Bookmaking
Get ready to go zine crazy! Students in this group will create an awesome, empowering little piece of print. Zines are a cheap form of printed expression. The whole point is sharing something YOU care about and YOU want people to know. We’ll produce an original Zine together and by the end of the day, we’ll have something to share with the community. Illustrators, designers, writers, and all creators are welcome. Don't overthink it! Grab a pen, a computer, an idea, and let's go!
