Professional Development at the Museum of Tolerance
Last week, more than 80 CDS faculty, staff, and administrators visited the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles for a professional development conference. The two-day program included an interactive exhibit depicting the horrors of the Holocaust as well as an opportunity to meet and hear from a survivor. Attendees also toured the museum's displays about the atrocities and injustices that continue today.
On the second day, we came together for a series of workshops discussing our teaching practices and how we can best apply the Teaching Tolerance Social Justice Standards to our curriculum. Our experiences were powerful and thought-provoking, and we would like to thank the museum for this opportunity.
