Physical Education Activities

At CDS, we strive to create a dynamic and engaging physical education program. Our goal is for each student to build character and experience joy while learning. In the Early Childhood Program, students focus on exploring movements and making positive connections with their peers. In the Lower School, an emphasis is placed on trying new activities and increasing the children's awareness of how physical activity makes them feel. In the Middle School, students refine their skills and implement the concepts they have learned into game situations, and they also gain opportunities to take on leadership roles. With each new challenge they face in their physical education classes, CDS students learn how to manage difficult situations and celebrate successes.

Our diverse teaching staff holds high expectations for all of our students. They are committed to crafting and implementing a curriculum that is creative, exciting, and memorable. Students will have the opportunity to participate not only in traditional sports and games but also in yoga, team building, boxing, circus activities, and badminton. Our teachers are sensitive to the needs of their students, and they strive to make everyone feel appreciated. With the faculty's guidance, our students grow beyond sports knowledge and physical skills to develop a lifelong appreciation of physical activity and wellness.
With each new challenge they face, CDS students learn how to manage difficult situations and celebrate successes.
