library
Located in a bright, sunny room, our library is a place for children to work together on research projects, to freely explore the world of books or just sit quietly and get lost in a favorite story.

Our library has over 6,200 volumes and is growing every week. The collection contains award-winning picture books, beginning readers, young fiction and literature, in addition to biography, poetry, folklore and fairytales, nonfiction and reference materials and audiobooks. The library also subscribes to educational magazines.

The library is staffed by a part-time librarian, Elsa Townsend, and a dedicated group of parent volunteers who acquire resources, catalog new materials, shelve books and work with each class to help children find information and learn library skills. Our librarian and the library committee strive to stimulate interest and cultivate competence in the reading and use of information, and to help nurture a community of learners sustained by a creative, energetic program.
