Overview
Children's Day School means great teaching. Our teachers love to teach, creating environments and designing lessons every day that make sure each child is appropriately challenged and experiences the love of learning.

CDS students might be:

  • 3-year old scientists gathering data and testing their hypotheses while investigating the complex movement of snails in the garden
  • kindergarten mathematicians discovering patterns and learning fractions as they piece together a class quilt
  • first grade biologists collecting eggs from the barnyard henhouse during their morning chores and graphing seasonal egg production
  • third grade historians, dressed in Japanese kimonos, conducting a Japanese tea ceremony and drinking tea out of their own handmade, ceramic teacups
  • sixth grade authors intently writing and rewriting short stories to be published in conjunction with 826 Valencia: The Writing Center
